Death spirals, vision chasms, and a last call for enrolment
Strategy heavyweight JP Castlin interviewed me last week
When JP Castlin asked if I’d like to talk about Pivot Triggers for his newsletter, I said yes immediately.
He writes one of the best newsletters around if you’re interested in strategy. It would take too long to sum up why his work and thinking is so impactful. Suffice it to say, he has thousands of subscribers for a reason.
In the interview (link below) we touch on:
the Vision Chasm – why it’s so often unclear how the real work we’re doing today relates to the hopes and dreams laid out in the 3- or 5-year vision statement
the common situation that causes teams to tumble into the MVP Death Spiral
why outcomes over outputs is so hard — and how to rehabilitate solutionising into something constructive
But that’s not all.
I also share step-by-step instructions for how to tackle the above using the core ideas from my cohort-based course, Innovate Confidently with Pivot Triggers.
There are a couple of spots left, and the deadline for enrolling is Monday 29th November… tomorrow or today, depending when you’re reading this. Enrol here.
You’ll pick up the 4 most powerful methods I've developed after 20 years of working in design, research and digital products.
If you want hands-on practice, I made this course for you. There’s nowhere else you’ll get active learning in these methods. (If you have any questions about the course, hit reply and we can find time for a quick chat tomorrow.)
Or — if the details in the interview below are enough for you to get started — please do! And let me know how you get on.
Without further ado, here’s the link: my interview with JP Castlin, Triggers and Pivots.
